Refund and Cancellation Policy
WDI Science handles two different kinds of payments, the fees that get you licensed with us and the registration fee for a seat in one of our continuing education classes. They work differently, so here is how each one is handled.
Membership
A non-refundable starter fee of $899.00 is required to become a technician for WDI Science, and a non-refundable fee of $195.00 is required to transfer your license to WDI Science. Only one of those will apply to you, and it is a one time payment.
We keep those fees non-refundable because the work begins as soon as your paperwork reaches us. We file with the Texas Department of Agriculture, pay the state fees for you, and get your Swarm Form account and your stickers ready to go. Most of that is already paid out before your license is in hand.
So if you move on from WDI Science down the road, or take your license to another company, we’re not able to refund or prorate the starter fee or the transfer fee. Plans change and we understand that, which is why we would rather you know this going in than find out later.
Classes
Our continuing education classes are seat based, and we plan the instructor and the room around the head count, so we do need a little notice if your plans change.
- Your class registration is confirmed once registration is complete and we have your billing information in full.
- To cancel or reschedule a confirmed class, just send us a request through our contact page.
- As long as your cancellation request reaches us at least 2 calendar days before the class date, we’ll refund your registration fee in full.
- After that, and for no shows, we’re not able to refund the registration fee. If something comes up, let us know as early as you can and we’ll see what we can do about getting you a later date.
Classes Cancelled by WDI Science
- Every so often a class doesn’t get enough sign ups to run. If that happens we’ll cancel at least 14 calendar days before the class date, let you know, and refund your registration fee.
- We’re not able to cover other costs you have already committed to, like travel or a hotel room, so it’s worth keeping that in mind when you book.
- If we have to cancel for something nobody controls, like weather or a natural disaster, your registration carries over and you can reschedule into a future class.
